I went ten pages back and didn't see anything. If there's one I missed feel free to lock it up Mods.

Anyhow, I was just wondering how many other fans were on this site. One Piece is really picking up and I was curious to see how many people followed it.

Use to be big on anime but the only thing I watch right now are Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Super. Attack on Titan is an amazing show. Dragon Ball Super.. well it's frickin Dragon Ball. Not quite as good as DBZ but way better than DBGT/DB.

My favorite animes ever everyone should give a watch:

Cowboy Bebop
Death Note

^ Both of these are quite famous and anyone getting into anime should watch these.

Trigun
Black Lagoon (graphic and gorey but amazing)
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (a lotttt of people call this the GOAT anime.. not sure I agree with it but it's damn addicting. I binge watched the whole thing in less than a week and it's about 65 episodes).
Dragon Ball Z, everyones childhood. Probably my favorite anime ever but I would never call it the best by any means.
Inuyasha
Yu Yu Hakusho
Rurouni Kenshin

I'm a fan of anime...don't read much manga though. Usually my avatar's or sigs (when I'm not losing bets) are anime or video game related.

The problem with death note is that there's a specific time where that series goes downhill in my opinion. Anyone who has seen the series knows what point I'm talking about.

Funny thing about Cowboy Bebop - I have owned it on dvd (and eventually blu ray) for like 10 years now, and never watched the full series. I actually love the series, but every time I start to watch it, I get to the episode "Ballad of Fallen Angels" and say, "Yep, that's pretty much a masterpiece, not getting any better than that", so I refuse to watch past that episode Laughing I figure one day I will though.

I do love FMA: Brotherhood. It's one of my favorites (side note - have the Flamel cross tattooed on me).

With regards to movies, my all time GOAT is Ninja Scroll. Must watch for anyone. Perfect Blue is also crazy good.

^ Yes Ballad of Fallen Angels is an amazing episode. I've rewatched that final scene soooo many times. Theres a few episodes on par with that one (just about every episode is good) but that probably was the best scene of the show. Such a masterpiece of a confrontation.

Also agreed about Death Note and know exactly the point you're talking about. I think that happened around Episode 23ish. The final 15 episodes weren't nearly as good.. although those first 23ish episodes are a masterpiece.

I think most great animes sit around 25-30 episodes. Animes with more than that like DBZ, One Piece, etc that have hundreds of episodes just have wayyyy too many filler episodes to ever be considered a GOAT anime.

Full Metal Alchemist is the only one that pulled off 60+ really successfully. Almost no filler episodes.

Only anime I religiously watched as a kid was DBZ. In the last few years though, primarily due to Netflix, I've gotten into a lot more anime shows.

Favorite series:
-Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
-Attack on Titan
-DBZ
-Gurren Lagann
-Hunter x Hunter (At least the first couple of seasons)
-7 Deadly Sins
-One Punch Man
-Berserk

Most overrated series:
-Death Note (For the hype it gets, it really fell off a cliff halfway through)
-One Piece (Longevity doesn't necessarily make a great anime)
-Inuyasha (Just not my cup of tea)
-Kill La Kill (Boring excess fan service)

Haven't watched too many anime movies, but of those that I've seen my favorite is by far Sword of the Stranger.

Probably not any time soon. Don't even think it's been dubbed yet.

It's getting dubbed episode by episode about 3 episodes behind the japanese version. The first 7 are dubbed right now if you wanna watch them.

Really? That's surprising.

And I usually prefer Manga over Anime. The story right now has opened up and is getting wild.

Speaking of which; The spoilers for tomorrow's One Piece chapter just came out... And if true things are about to get pretty dark and gruesome.
