very interesting.

Almost everyone has either Breaking Bad or The Wire on their list, but nobody has both.

Honestly, I've just never watched Breaking Bad. I've wanted to, and all my friends rave about it, but it's just such an undertaking at this stage of my life that I don't know if/when I'll find the time to start it. I was fortunate enough to watch The Wire, and probably the majority of the shows in my top 10, when I was in college or just started working and had a bunch of free time to commit to watching shows.

Is this how I currently feel about the show, or how into the show I was at the height of my fandom?

Because there should be a lot more Sesame Streets and cartoons on lists if the former is the case. There is not a show that will ever be as good as I thought He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was when I was 4 years old.

i havent really watched that many TV shows... and i consider comedies/sitcoms to be entirely separate

1. Breaking Bad
2. Game of Thrones (though call between 1 and 2. Thrones is much more of an epic, but BB was short, condensed, and ALWAYS gripping)
3. Dexter (the first 4 seasons were top tier on par with the ones above imo, then kept getting worse)
4. Sherlock
5. Marvel Netflix Series (collectively... Daredevil and Jessica Jones carry tho)
6. House of Cards (haven't watched latest season yet. like dexter, the early seasons were elite, but show dragged down by the later seasons)
7. Better Call Saul (this one will probably move up tbh)

and that's basically all i've watched. intend to go back and watch The Wire. will probably do so during fall/winter when i have more time. i never really was big on TV shows, so i've basically only watched stuff that came highly recommended.

as for comedies, family guy, futurama, south park, friends, archer are the ones that come to mind

Breaking Bad
The Wire
Seinfeld
Oz
Game of Thrones
Man Seeking Woman
House of Cards
Entourage
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Louie

Would put Westworld somewhere in there, but a little early since there has only been one season.

It's tough to order such different shows, but the top looks vaguely like this:

Rome
Gilmore Girls
Bojack Horseman
Battlestar Galactica
Game of Thrones
Arrested Development
Scrubs

And then there's just a bunch of shows I really like:
The Sopranos
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Dexter (though the ranking is really just on seasons 1,2, and 4)
Archer
Six Feet Under
Rick and Morty
Oz
Seinfeld
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Mad Men
Hannibal

I'm sure I've forgotten something too.

I have a feeling I'd enjoy Lost, but there's so much of it that I haven't motivated myself to start yet.
