Yes. Yes it does. We dont need a baker of sharpers caliber now. Our linebacking core is set now, so now we can draft a receiver at 7 and a safety at 18. _________________

i know what you mean, cents, some things change almost hourly.
dj is impressive, but merriman would be more versatile. |

Heres how our core will pan out I think
MLB:EJ Henderson, Sam Cowart
LOLB:Dontarrious Thomas(He is fast enough, ran a 4.5)
ROLB:Naplon Harris(Again, he is fast enough, and in a 4-3, the postion isnt all that much different, minor things) _________________

i cant wait till we draft merriman...
4-3 base d/running downs...olb, he'd be a beast with his size and closing speed rb's would fear going to his side...
nickel/dime...de, he'd be a beast with his size and closing speed qb's would fear dropping back to pass... |

yeah, i think you're right. he has more versatility than dj might have. and you know, if you can become a better player than dj is right now, man are you good!
parcells loves merriman too, that should mean something. |

Parcells can go f himself cause he doesnt have a top ten pick.
But like I said in my thread, we can go a bunch of ways with this pick _________________

tice and company better work out all the permutations in advance or they'll take too much time on the clock and lose a pick.
god, that would be awful. |

the thing that really sold me on merriman is we got cowart...
dj is the more polished prospect...i firmly believe he's the more nfl ready prospect...
while merriman is just more athletically gifted...not as fast but overall i think hes better suited to make a huge impact on the game...6-3 274, with a 4.57-4.6 40, and a 41.5 vertical...come on thats just ridiculous
seriously lavar arrington got drafted 3rd on pure athletic ability well this kid is putting up better numbers than arrington plus 30 pds.
he might look lost at times as an olb...but in the nickel and dime with one goal goal and one goal only (get to the qb.) thats where he'd make the biggest impact.
i could go on forever... |
