The story is on espn.com. He ran 4.65 and 4.68 and looked to be in better shape than at the combine. Ran on turf indoors due to weather, and was worked out in drills by Bengals and Browns coaches with some other teams in attendance.
My draft prediciton for Clarret. Cleveland in round 6. _________________

My Draft Prediction for Maurice Clarett = Round 17. Oh wait, they don't go to Round 17 anymore do they? Well, I guess he'll be a late 6th to mid 7th round pick then. _________________

Oakland, they don't care about character, and they could use a backup.
Cleveland has got Crennel, they want "character" guys. _________________ The Brownie: The best logo for the Cleveland Browns, EVER! |

To the Raiders in the 6th round. I think he solidified himself to get drafted but he won't go any higher than the 5th round. _________________ POINT PROVEN!!!! |

| I would take a chance and offer a late 4th rounder or early 5th. He will be playing with a chip on his shoulders and a lot to prove. Keep in mind Priest Holmes didn't run well in the 40yd. I think 4.7 mid 4.6… |

I don't know why everyone thinks he has character issues.
As he said, his issues were NCAA violations. He didn't get in a fight at a strip club, break into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and poop in her closet (thanks for the laughs, Najeh!), or arrange drug deals on his phone.
Troy Smith did the same thing (accept gifts from boosters). Is he locker room cancer because of it? No.
I don't think Cleveland will take him, though. We have our power runner now. But the draft is all about surprises. |

The key to being successful is to be consistant so lets see him do it again and again and again.Like Brandon Jacobs has done throughout his entire playing carrer( Over 6+yrds per carry) from Jr College I-A to II-A. _________________ I prefer to match up match up of 7 players from college to pro. |

Not being able to abide by NCAA regulations is a character cocnern.
Not putting in the simple effort to go to class is a character concern.
Clarett has shown the inability to abide by simple rules that everyone of his peers has to abide by as well. He should not be held to different standards, nobody should. Yet, he felt he should. That is most certainly a character concern.
Clarett only cared about himself. Didnt care for his teammates, didnt care for the repurcussions of not following the rules, and just did what he felt he deserved.
Thats not going to fly in the NFL, and its definitely cuase for concern. Character concerns are not only for guys who are arrested.
With that said, CLarett has been through a lot the past two years. Hopefully for his sake, he has matured.
I cant see him lasting past the fifth round. For the people that think he goes undrafted, it will not happen. The Patriots have the last pick in the draft, and they would without question take him with that pick. They scouted him heavily last year, with rumors they woudl take him, and they have been scouting him again this year. Its rare for a talent like that to be there that late, and its rare that Mr. Irrelevant makes your team, so they would definitely roll the dice on Clarett at that point. There's no way he goes undrafted. |

Ouch.
I do think he will go higher than we're all thinking, though. _________________ TitansReport.com is looking for bloggers and writers. We have a large built-in readership if you have the skills. PM or email joshua@titansreport.com. |
